I have been bullied a lot of times by fellow LGBTQ+ in my short period as an LGBTQ+ advocate, to a point where I just wanted to stop completely. I even questioned myself if I'd like to be identified as part of this community.
But I soon met people like me who are already here for years, persevering through every nasty tweet or gossip, because they just wanted to make things better for everyone.
I know the LGBTQ+ can be very blunt, creatively cunning, and extremely prejudiced even towards our own brothers and sisters in our advocacy, but I hope we are always reminded of the importance of our solidarity and possible camaraderie. After all, even with different media and different processes, our struggles are intertwined and intersectional. We meet at one point or another as advocates and I wish we can educate instead of forwarding hate especially towards each other.
