From Oni

Hi! I am Oni, I am a bisexual female who is not out of the closet, just like you. I personally plan to come out once I move out of my home, to ensure I still have a place to live.

I know my parents would not be as harsh as I think they may be, but sometimes I can't help but think that it could come crashing down once I reveal my true identity to them.

If you are in the same boat, you are not alone. Just know that you are loved and supported by the members of this community, by me.

If you are still in the closet because you still are figuring your identity out, just know that you can take your time. Being closeted is a feeling that ranges for many people depending on their situation. I am in a position that is not as scary as I think it may be, but you never know.

If you are struggling in the closet, I feel you. I want to one day wear the flag our queer ancestors created to honor them and the whole community. Yet, I have to wait. Just know that I and so many others, are waiting with you.

Sending love and virtual hugs,

Oni
